The second film adaptation of the comic book - the only one in which comics have not released simultaneously with the show. IDW have decided to correct this misunderstanding, so prefacing a future release of all of film adaptations (including this one) under one cover.

The crew of the enterprise is trying to save the colony world, the population of which was struck by a deadly plague. There, Mr. Sulu finds a lost love. Unfortunately, everything else is hostile to the colonists, who did not want to help the Federation and are willing to go to great lengths to stop them.

This is a look at the first mission as Captain Kirk's Enterprise, as he takes the reins from Captain Pike and meets a mysterious Tralmanii in "All Those Years Ago ..."
