Hot topics like environmental activism in the real world provided ideal timing for Rima, the JUngle girl to swing into action. Her series chronicled the adventures of the statuesque Venezuelan "Bad girl" and Abel, the explorer she loved. Rima the Jungle girl lasted only 7 issues, with Robert Kanigher credited as writer for the final three.

Touch was one of the few titles put out by the short-lived DC Comics imprint Focus. It deals with a super-powered individual, Cooper Santiago, who can give people super powers by touching them. Touch was canceled after six issues.
