The story describes a world in which people have lost the ability to live on the Earth's surface. They live underground in vast colonies of individual pods, where almost all vital functions and interaction with others through the machine. However, one rebel believes that the lives of more than a machine. In addition, the system can be the destruction of mankind imminent extinction. Time is running out, if people are to survive, returning to the natural world on the surface before the machine stops.
